The Process
We mix top quality pure Italian balsamic vinegar with brown sugar in a pot over medium heat. It’s stirred constantly until the sugar has dissolved. We bring it to a boil then reduce heat to low, at which point we simmer until the sauce/glaze is reduced by half after a couple of hours. The glaze should coat the back of a spoon. We cool it slightly then pour into glass bottles and seal.
Serving Suggestions
A luxuriously sweet and tart finishing sauce great over any dish. Perfect for coleslaw, desserts, fruit salads, baked vegetables or as a creative garnish. Use as a vinaigrette, marinade or as a glaze over roast meats. Add to sauces and gravy.
