Caramelised Balsamic Vinegar with Haloumi Cheese
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 250 g Haloumi cheese
- 3 tbsp flour
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & freshly ground black pepper
Dressing
Garnish
- Parsley sprigs
Method
- Unwrap haloumi cheese and cut into six slices.
- Season flour with salt and pepper and coat pieces of haloumi with flour on both sides.
- Heat oil in a frying pan until very hot and add haloumi pieces.
- Fry one or two minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Gently warm Latasha’s Kitchen Caramelised Balsamic Vinegar pour half on a warm plate until it covers the whole plate evenly.
- Place fried cheese on plate then pour the rest of the dressing on top.
- Garnish with sprigs of parsley and serve with hot pitta bread.
